About Northwoods Neighborhood
Northwoods Neighborhood is a group of concerned citizens united in our mission to protect the residents of the Town of Round Lake from changes to or non-enforcement of our current Mining Ordinance. We believe in the power of community engagement and civic accountability to preserve the character and integrity of our town. By working together, we hold our elected board members accountable to the citizens they serve, ensuring that decisions made at the municipal level reflect the values and interests of our community.
Our efforts extend beyond mining regulations to encompass a larger vision: preserving our town’s Comprehensive Plan and the distinctive Northwoods character that makes Round Lake special. We are committed to preventing further erosion of our community’s identity and working toward restoring integrity in municipal government. Through education, advocacy, and community organizing, we empower residents to take an active role in shaping the future of our town.
Our Community Initiatives
Mining Ordinance Enforcement
We work to protect and enforce the Town of Round Lake’s current Mining Ordinance, ensuring that mining activities comply with established regulations and do not harm our community’s character and environment.
